About this policy
This policy covers the LengthMD website at lengthmd.com. The site provides general educational content, a length comparison calculator, a consultation request form, and a consultation preparation checklist. It also has a restricted office workspace for reviewing short-lived website activity and preparing scheduling emails. The public site does not provide medical consultations, patient records, public account creation, or payment processing.
Consultation requests
If you submit a consultation request, we receive your name, email address, optional preferred contact time, and any scheduling note you choose to include. We use this information to respond, coordinate a consultation, and manage the request. Submissions are delivered by email to the business's designated recipient; email and hosting providers process information to deliver the request.
The form is for scheduling only and is not a patient portal. Please do not submit health history, symptoms, medical records, intimate photographs, or other sensitive medical information. Email is not the appropriate channel for a clinical assessment. A consultation request is not a confirmed appointment and does not establish a clinician–patient relationship.
Length calculator
The length comparison calculator runs on your device. Your entered measurement, selected measurement unit and state, calculated values, and comparison results remain in the current page. The site does not send these details to a server, add them to the page address, include them in consultation requests, or save them in browser storage. Your browser may restore page state through its own session features. Use the calculator's clear button when you finish, especially on a shared device.
Short-lived website activity
The website sends limited first-party activity information to help LengthMD understand whether a page is active and the calculator is being used. An activity record contains a random identifier held only in the current page's memory, the page or broad interaction phase, a calculation count, and activity timestamps. The identifier is not retained across visits. These activity records do not contain names, email addresses, IP addresses, browser identifiers, precise locations, calculator measurements, selected units or measurement states, or calculated results. They are not linked to consultation requests, appointments, or other identity records.
Only authorized office staff can view this activity through the restricted workspace. Activity records expire automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. No advertising or third-party analytics service receives this activity. The hosting and security information described below is separate from these limited activity records.
Checklist selections
The preparation checklist asks you to select questions. Your selections remain in the current page and are not transmitted with your request or saved by the site. Your browser may restore a page's state as part of its own session features.
Office emails
Authorized staff can prepare an appointment confirmation using an email address, optional recipient name, and the appointment date, time, time zone, and location. Staff can also prepare a follow-up preparation email when a clinician has requested measurements, with an optional follow-up date. These messages are sent from contact@lengthmd.com through the website's email service. Email and hosting providers process the recipient information and message to provide delivery.
Follow-up emails ask you to keep any requested record private and bring it to your next visit, or contact the office to arrange an appropriate private channel. They do not ask you to send intimate measurements or photographs by ordinary email. Please keep clinical information out of email replies.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The site's code does not use advertising, social media trackers, third-party analytics, or persistent local browser storage. It uses only the limited first-party activity described above. Fonts, scripts, and images are served with the website. The request form and restricted office workspace use strictly necessary session cookies and temporary security tokens to prevent forged submissions and keep office actions within an authorized session. These are used for security rather than advertising.
Hosting and security information
The hosting provider, DreamHost, may process server logs and technical security information, including IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages, browser information, referring pages, and errors. The website also uses temporary security and rate-limiting data to help prevent abuse. The office workspace and email sending controls restrict access to approved office network addresses; these approved addresses are held in private server configuration. The website does not promise anonymous browsing. See DreamHost's privacy policy for its practices.
Retention and requests
The short-lived website activity above expires after 15 minutes of inactivity. Consultation and office emails are kept as needed to respond to and manage requests, coordinate visits, maintain appropriate business records, or meet applicable obligations. Email previews, including recipient information and message content, are kept in private server files for up to 10 minutes and become unavailable when their preview expires. Sending removes the preview content. Expired files are removed during later office or activity requests. Duplicate-send and delivery-limit records contain random token hashes, session verification codes, status, and timestamps for up to 24 hours; they do not retain the recipient or message content. Office sessions expire after 10 minutes of inactivity. Technical and security records may also be retained by the hosting and email providers under their practices.
You can contact contact@lengthmd.com to ask about your information, request correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Please keep sensitive medical information out of privacy inquiries. Available rights may depend on applicable law and necessary recordkeeping.
Printing, external links, and shared devices
The checklist's print feature opens your browser's print dialog. We do not receive the printed or saved copy. Be thoughtful about shared devices and printers. If you follow an external link, the destination's privacy practices apply; we do not control external sites.
Adults and policy changes
This website is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not designed to collect personal information from children. This policy may be updated when the site's functionality or practices change. The current effective date appears above.
